Steward's Report

Madison Rose and Enter The Grouch were quick to begin.  Our Boy Ziggy and Ramadi Bale were slow to begin.

Crusoe Kid, Our Boy Ziggy and Dennis Delight collided soon after the start checking Dennis Delight.  Faint Perfume, Madison Rose and Switched collided soon after the start checking Switched.  Dennis Delight galloped on the heals of Madison Rose approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds, causing Dennis Delight to fall as a result.  Faint Perfume, Crusoe Kid and Enter The Grouch collided on the first turn checking Faint Perfume.  Enter The Grouch faltered approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.

Dennis Delight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle and right quadriceps injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Madison Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Lingard regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Lingard, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Enter The Grouch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Ross regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Ross, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
