Steward's Report
Essential persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face-masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Invictus Xavier was slow to begin.
Zulu Goddess, Invictus Xavier and Magic Da Vinci collided soon after the start. Classy Edition and Mt. View Pearl collided on the first turn. Zulu Goddess and Invictus Xavier collided on the first turn. Zulu Goddess marred Classy Editon entering the home straight, causing Clasy Edition, Mt. View Pearl and Zulu Goddess to collide. Zulu Goddess marred Classy Edition in the home straight.
Zulu Goddess underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Frederick Bickerton, the trainer of Zulu Goddess regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zulu Goddess was charged with marring. Mr Bickerton pleaded guilty to the charge, Zulu Goddess was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Lila - the winner of the event.
