Steward's Report
Following the event Barooga Smoke displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. No stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs Brooke Ennis, the trainer of Barooga Smoke and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr G. Berry in relation to the racing manners of Money Owes in this event. The matter has been adjourned and will be reconvened on Tuesday 19 April.

Supplementary Report 19.04.2022:
Inquiry held at Horsham on 19.04.2022: Stewards spoke to Mr G Berry, the trainer of Money Owes regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Money Owes was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr G Berry pleaded guilty to the charge, Money Owes was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
