Zipping Jazz and Jye's Jet collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Quincee Bale checked off Retro Rocket entering the back straight.  Moriah Bale checked off Retro Rocket approaching the third turn.  Zipping Jazz checked off Jye's Jet approaching the home turn.

Sir Champ was slow to begin.

Zipping Loxley and Mepunga Stellar collided soon after the start.  Pineapple Turtle crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Rufus Scrimgeour, checking Ernie Prang.  Pineapple Turtle galloped on Ernie Prang approaching the first turn checking Pineapple Turtle.  Roxy Quaker and Mepunga Stellar collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Pineapple Turtle and Roxy Quaker collided on the second turn checking Pineapple Turtle.  Ernie Prang and Sir Champ collided on the third turn.  Rufus Scrimgeour and Zipping Loxley collided approaching the winning post.

Shadow Mist began awkwardly and collided with Aston Rupee soon after the start.  All Inn Billy and Hill Top Jack collided soon after the start.  Hill Top Jack and Junk Food Junkie collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Shadow Mist and All Inn Billy collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Shadow Mist checked off Hill Top Jack on the third turn.  All Inn Billy and Junk Food Junkie collided on the home turn.  

Carry On Maxwell, Pilbara and Neangar Boy collided soon after the start checking Carry On Maxwell and Pilbara.  Neangar Boy checked off Byron Bale approaching the first turn checking Carry On Maxwell and Pilbara.  Aston Cade and Byron Bale collided on the first turn.  Carry On Maxwell checked off Byron Bale approaching the third turn.

Smooth Talker was slow to begin.

Brady's Shout, Flo Lava and Kenny The Brute collided on the first turn checking Flo Lava and Kenny The Brute.  Kenny The Brute galloped on Mepunga Ruby approaching the front straight.  Flo Lava and Kenny The Brute raced wide in the front straight.  Flo Lava raced wide in the back straight. 

Knicks Bale was slow to begin.

Zipping Ticket, Major Sacrifice and Drako Bale collided soon after the start checking Zipping Ticket and Major Sacrifice.  It's My Party crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Lunar Star, Tomato Tears, Knicks Bale, Zipping Ticket and Major Sacrifice.  Zipping Ticket and Major Sacrifice collided approaching the front straight.  Lunar Star checked off Tomato Tears entering the front straight.  Zipping Ticket and Major Sacrifice collided on the third turn and again on the fourth turn, both greyhounds losing ground.  Zipping Ticket raced wide in the home straight.

So Predictable was slow to begin.

Galloping Speed shifted out on the first turn and collided with Nikephoros and Inka Bale, checking Aratuza Bale, Nikephoros, Mepunga Warrior, Whatever I Say, Bounce Back and Inka Bale.  Inka Bale and Bounce Back collide on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Inka Bale took an awaked stride entering the back straight and lost ground.  

Inka Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left foreleg and left hindleg.  No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from King Of Calypso.

So Hazy and Riccarton Rick were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  King Of Calypso, Ollie and Invictus Rising collided approaching the first turn checking King Of Calypso and Ollie.  So Hazy checked off Riccarton Rick approaching the first turn.  King Of Calypso and Whistling Bullet collided on the home turn.  

A pre-race sample was taken from Mepunga Freda.

Sharni's My Girl beganawkwardly.  Sovereign Wind and All Inn Dungee collided entering the back straight checking Talbingo Bale.  Talbingo Bale shifted out on the home turn and marred Sovereign Wind severely checking both greyhounds.  

Talbingo Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Shaun Coulson, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Talbingo Bale was charged with marring.  Mr. Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Talbingo Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Collinda Patty.

Miss Tickle, Malayah Bale, Gemma Blue and Yahoo Serious were slow to begin.

Collinda Patty and Aston Paisley collided on the first turn checking Aston Paisley and Gemma Blue.  Malayah Bale and Yahoo Serious collided on the first turn.  Collinda Patty checked off Miss Tickle entering the back straight causing Collinda Patty to collide with Malayah Bale checking both greyhounds.  Yahoo Serious checked off Collinda Patty in the home straight. 

Oamaru Bale and Broadway Benny collided soon after the start.  Low Planes, Nifty Nangar and West Song collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Oamaru Bale and Broadway Benny collided on the first turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Pass It On.

Pass It On, Aston Resort and Legasov Bale were slow to begin.

Pass It On, Coterie, Busy Time and Legasov Bale collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Jayla Strike checked off Fireweed on the first turn.  Pass It On turned its head outwards approaching the second turn.

Pass It On underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Johnson, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the second turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Pass It On was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Pass It On was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
