Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race day functions and operations.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) starter, Mr Shaun Courts did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Fernando Febey was quick to begin. Storm Raptor was slow to begin. Patriot Earhart was very slow (3 lengths).
Blue Sky Limit checked off Fernando Febey soon after the start. Blue Sky Limit galloped on Smokin' Charlie approaching the first turn causing Blue Sky Limit to lose ground. Blue Sky Limit, Patriot Earhart and Storm Raptor collided on the first turn severely checking Storm Raptor and Blue Sky Limit. Fernando Febey crossed out entering the home straight and collided with Smokin' Charlie, causing both greyhounds to race wide in the home straight.
Patriot Earhart underwent a post-race veteinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a laceration to the left hind metatarsal. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Grayden - winner of the event.
