Arby's Lucy, Emani Bale and Kraken Pearler collided soon after the start; checking Arby's Lucy and Emani Bale.  Perpetuate and Kraken Pearler collided approaching the first turn, checking Perpetuate.  Arby's Lucy checked off Perpetuate on the first turn.

Burn Bella Burn checked off Whiskey Road soon after the start.  Hyperfine checked off Whiskey Road on the first turn.  Cabernet Girl checked off Raichu on the third turn; checking Nana Jill and My Envy.  My Envy checked off Nana Jill on the home turn.

Christmas Magic and Chuck Rocks were quick to begin.

Harrison House and Curator collided at the start.  Weblec Star and Orson Emmy collided soon after the start and again in the front straight.  Chuck Rocks, Harrison House and Orson Emmy collided on the first turn; checking all three greyhounds.  Weblec Star checked off Curator approaching the second turn, checking Harrison House.  Chuck Rocks checked off Orson Emmy approaching the third turn.

Weblec Wave was slow to begin.

Midoriyama checked off Defensible approaching the first turn.  Dr. Macie checked off Weblec Wave approaching the second turn.  Cloudy Diamond checked off Midoriyama approaching the third turn.

Wing Chun Girl, Val Ali and Dr. Neeki were quick to begin.  Mepunga Legend was slow to begin.

Val Ali and Golden Quest collided soon after the start.  Aztec Blaze and Ridge collided soon after the start.  Wing Chun Girl, Val Ali and Dr. Neeki collided approaching the first turn.  Val Ali, Golden Quest, Mepunga Legend, Dr. Neeki, Aztec Blaze and Ridge collided on the first turn.  Golden Quest checked off the heels of Aztec Blaze on the third turn.

Kraken Spike was quick to begin.  Too Easy Jack and Forcefully were slow to begin.

Code Blue Sue crossed to the rail on the first turn; checking Currawong and Who Cry Now.  Currawong checked off Big Gordy approaching the first turn.  Currawong tailed off entering the back straight (16L).

Currawong underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race nine.  Currawong was found to have a left hindleg thigh injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Treherne, the trainer of Currawong regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Treherne to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Currawong in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Aston Gwen was quick to begin.  Zachary and Colden Dayto were slow to begin.

Aston Champagne and Zachary collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Krakatoan, Aston Champagne, Zachary and Colden Dayto collided on the first turn.  Aston Champagne and Colden Dayto collided on the second turn.  Zachary checked off Colden Dayto on the second turn.  Krakatoan checked off Aston Gwen on the third turn.

Run Machine – Late scratching at 11:15 am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Jason Sharp was fined $100.

Donny Rocks and Weblec Scorcher were slow to begin.

Donny Rocks turned its head out and visably eased approaching the third turn and was then galloped on by Aston Pride.

Donny Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Debattista, the trainer of Donny Rocks regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the third turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Donny Rocks was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Donny Rocks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dr. Lysandra was quick to begin.

Sorell checked off Dr. Lysandra soon after the start.  McInerney raced wide in the front straight.  Smokey Cape galloped on Nana Judy approaching the first turn; checking both greyhounds.

Nana Judy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Super Marli.

Super Marli began awkwardly.  Fairytale Nacho was slow to begin.  Halwes, Konta and Resurgence collided soon after the start and lost ground as a result.

Eight Ball was quick to begin.

Berkel Boy checked off Emergency approaching the first turn.  Berkel Boy checked off Emergency entering the back straight.  Emergency and Not Delivered collided approaching the home turn; checking both greyhounds.  Gleaming and Berkel Boy collided on the home turn.
