Divine Calling went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
Sarah Beauty turned its head to the outside soon after the start and crossed out. Divine Calling crossed out soon after the start. Sarah Beauty and My Annabelle collided several times from the 200m mark to approaching the 50m mark.
Sarah Beauty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left shin soreness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Kevin Tirchett regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sarah Beauty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Tirchett pleaded guilty to the charge, Sarah Beauty was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
