Steward's Report
Dusty Knight – Late scratching at 5:11pm when Mr Terry Meyer reported the greyhound to have a groin injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Meyer regarding the circumstances surrounding the late scratching and accepted his explanation.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jerry Buzzard.
Claretown Dermot was slow to begin.
Claretown Dermot crossed out soon after the start. Heaven's Tower crossed out at the 225m mark checking Jerry Buzzard. Caribbean Queen and Jerry Buzzard collided at the 200m mark. Jerry Buzzard and Chasing Love collided approaching the winning post.
