Bomber Blitz and That’s Life were quick to begin.  Dark Summer was slow to begin.  Inter Mary, Little Ollie Mac, That’s Life, Penny Moments and Redgum Flyer collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Bomber Blitz and That’s Life collided on the first turn severely checking That’s Life.  Bomber Blitz and Dark Summer collided on the home turn and several times approaching the winning post.  

That‘s Life underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left thigh muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Nicholas Kosky, the trainer of Dark Summer regarding the greyhound’s performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Dark Summer must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Christopher Watson regarding the racing manners of Bomber Blitz soon after the start.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Watson, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action. 

Supplemtary Report: The trial issued to Dark Summer under GAR 71 (the penalty) was appealed to the Victorian Racing Tribunal on Monday 13 December and was successful.

Louie was quick to begin.  Daintree Lad was slow to begin.  Mrs. Tropicana and My My My collided approaching the first turn.  Daintree Lad and Mystic Ebony collided on the first turn.  Despicable Rin and Louie collided on the first turn checking Despicable Rin, Louie and Daintree Lad.  Mystic Ebony crossed out on the home turn and checked off My My My.

Allie Novak and Smokin’ Ziggy collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Allie Novak.  Smokin’ Ziggy, Fab Rocket and Miss Somerton collided on the home turn checking Miss Somerton.  Fab Rocket and Smokin’ Ziggy collided entering the home straight.

Allie Novak - Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Bit Of Pepper and On Time Cash collided soon after the start.  Nine Wine Wine was checked off Princess Lace approaching the first turn.  Huey’s Dream and Smokin’ Zag collided on the first turn. On Time Cash galloped on Huey’s Dream on the first turn severely checking On Time Cash.  Smokin’ Zag and Nine Wine Wine collided on the home turn.  Smokin’ Zag and Roxy Diva collided approaching the winning post.

Pack Of Jokers was slow to begin.  Fernando Frank and Between Jobs collided soon after the start. Trekki Nibbles and Shall She Charm collided soon after the start checking Shall She Charm.  Get A Job and Tekki Nibbles collided on the first turn checking Tekki Nibbles and Fernando Frank.  Between Jobs and Madalia Daisy collided on the first turn.  Star Ballerina and Pack Of Jokers collided on the second turn.  Fernando Frank and Tekki Nibbles collided on the second turn and again in the back straight checking Tekki Nibbles.  Between Jobs was checked off Tekki Nibbles approaching the home turn.

Bionic Queen were quick to begin and crossed in soon after the start.  Dr. Kye and It’s Coming Home collided soon after the start.  Dr. Kye was checked off Little Beamer soon after the start.  Joyous Hope galloped on Zipping Tula approaching the first turn severely checking Joyous Hope, Little Beamer, Denis The Menace and Zipping Tula.  Dr. Kye, Zipping Tula, Little Beamer and Joyous Hope collided on the home turn checking all four greyhounds.  Dr. Kye and Joyous Hope collided approaching the winning post.
