A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Wonders Magic, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Wonders Magic and Norma Jae were slow to begin.

Rock Me Mama, Blaze To Win and All Fear collided soon after the start. All Fear and Rona's Rocket collided at the 250m mark. Red Raven and Nitro Girl collided at the 250m mark. Red Raven, Norma Jae and Nitro Girl collided at the 200m mark checking Nitro Girl. All Fear and Nitro Girl collided at the 150m mark. Norma Jae visibly eased and turned its head outwards towards Red Raven at the 50m mark.

Norma Jae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8. Norma Jae, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Ms Paula Boots, the representative of Norma Jae regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 50m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Norma Jae was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, Norma Jae was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fab Six was quick to begin.

Unroadworthy was slow to begin.

Boes Bambino and Kid Malawi collided soon after the start. Boes Bambino, Kid Malawi and Always Primed collided soon after the start. Boes Bambino and Kid Malawi collided at the 250m mark checking Boes Bambino. Kid Malawi and Fab Six collided at the 50m mark checking Fab Six.

Unique Roman was quick to begin.

Willy Can Do and Master Ogilvie collided soon after the start. Danica Spolly, Willy Can Do and Master Ogilvie collided at the 300m mark. Unique Roman and Numerology collided at the 300m mark. Redzin and Snack Attack collided soon after the start. Snack Attack crossed in approaching the 300m mark. Fernando Booker and Gusson collided approaching the 250m mark and again at the 225m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lethal Vision.

The start of this event was delayed approximately 30 seconds due to operational procedures.

Vesna Spolly and Explodes To Burn collided approaching the 150m mark. Lethal Vision and Vesna Spolly collided at the 100m mark. Explodes To Burn turned its head inwards at the 50m mark.

Explodes To Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Terry Meyer regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Explodes To Burn was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge, Explodes To Burn was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mid Point and Keira Spolly collided soon after the start. Keira Spolly and Gunther collided approaching the 250m mark. Monster Pearl, Mid Point and Gunther collided at the 250m mark. Monster Pearl and Gunther collided several times from approaching the 200m mark to the 100m mark.

Two Stone Light and Jay For Jack were quick to begin.

Two Stone Light crossed in soon after the start. Little Swagger, Ivy's Bobby, Spanish Bullion and Two Stone Light collided soon after the start checking Spanish Bullion. Oakvale Cruiser and Little Swagger collided at the 100m mark.

Blue Chandelier – Late scratching at 7:22am when trainer Mr Mark Giddings reported the greyhound to have a wrist injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Made Me Blind– Late scratching at 9:34am due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Mr Andrew Paraskevas informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Paraskevas that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival.  The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
