Weblec Ranger and It's A Brew collided soon after the start. Specialty and Mepunga Freda collided soon after the start. It's A Brew and Mepunga Freda collided approaching the first turn. Specialty checked off Mepunga Freda approaching the first turn. Mepunga Freda faultered and fell, colliding with Specialty on the first turn, causing Specialty to fall.
Specialty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tibia and fibula fractures. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
