Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward, Mr Aaron Blake did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Especial Elise and Amron Man collided soon after the start checking Especial Elise. Berringa Blue and American Star collided approaching the first turn checking American Star. Berringa Blue and Trending Wave collided on the first turn checking Trending Wave. Especial Elise and Amron Man collided on the home turn and entering the home straight.
Especial Echo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the event For The Thrill displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 3 day stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Giddings, the trainer of For The Thrill. After hearing submissions, the Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and For The Thrill must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, plus a veterinary clearance of fitness before any future nomination will be accepted.
