Steward's Report
Ingenuity and Grumpy Al collided soon after the start. Spanish Bullion and Grumpy Al collided soon after the start. Aston Rocket and Chill Out Dusty collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark. Grumpy Al and Western Bomber collided at the 225m mark. Aston Rocket eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post.
Aston Rocket underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left quadricep injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr S Jack regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Aston Rocket was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr S Jack pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Rocket was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
