Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 26.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.2 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) starter, Ms. K. Johnson did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Legs Like Grundy was slow to begin.
Unleaded Diesel and Cruising Christa collided soon after the start. Unleaded Diesel, Cruising Christa and Highlighted collided soon after the start. Ocean Storm crossed in soon after the start checking Indi Jill. Unleaded Diesel and Cruising Christa collided approaching the 200m mark. Indi Jill and Ocean Storm collided at the 150m mark checking Indi Jill. Highlighted checked off Unleaded Diesel at the 100m mark. Legs Like Grundy faltered approaching the winning post. Cruising Christa and Highlighted collided approaching the winning post.
Legs Like Grundy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
