Steward's Report
Due to operational issues the start time for this event was rescheduled to 6:40 pm.
Dreaming Star, Bella Sugar and Jaleesa Bale were quick to begin. Miracle Belle, Drop A Line and Raph City collided soon after the start, checking Drop A Line. Jaleesa Bale and Bella Sugar collided approaching the first turn. Dreaming Star, Jaleesa Bale, Bella Sugar and Raph City collided on the first turn, checking Aston Simpkin; causing Aston Simpkin and Miracle Belle to collide. Dreaming Star, Jaleesa Bale and Bella Sugar collided approaching the home turn; severely checking Dreaming Star; causing Dreaming Star and Drop A LIne to collide, both greyhounds lost ground; Dreaming Star faltered and tailed off as a result.
Dreaming Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11. Dreaming Star was found to have a left wrist and left trapezius injury. A 14 day stand down was imposed.
