Steward's Report
All persons attending today checked-in, wore face-masks indoors and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
Esava was quick to begin. Built Different, Mt. View Bro and Upheaval were slow to begin.
Galloping Latte and Dunwerkin collided soon after the start. Blazing Beth checked off Papalia Bale approaching the first turn. Galloping Latte brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Dunwerkin and Papalia Bale collided approaching the first turn. Blazing Beth and Built Different collided on the first turn. Dunwerkin and Blazing Beth collided on the second turn. Galloping Latte checked off Upheaval in the back straight. Blazing Beth and Built Different collided in the back straight. Blazing Beth checked off Built Different approaching the third turn. Dunwerkin and Papalia Bale collided approaching the winning post.
An out of competition sample was taken from Built Different on 21 December 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. Matt Johnson, regarding the increase in distance for Built Different in this Event given that the greyhound has only had two starts at Healesville over the 300m. Mr. Johnson told Stewards that the greyhound has been trialling over the 450m distance at Sale and Warragul and has run the best home times. Stewards noted Mr Johnson's explanation. Stewards directed a post-race sample be taken, Built Different placed 4th in the event.
