An out of competition sample was taken from Ginger Meggs on 28/10/21 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Scatterbox - New declared weight of 31.5kg, last raced at 30.4kg.
Kimani - New declared weight of 25.7kg, last raced at 26.8kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Huey’s Dream.
Smokin’ Zag was slow to begin. Scatterbox and Ginger Meggs collided soon after the start checking Ginger Meggs. Scatterbox, Smokin’ Zag and Opal Dealer collided approaching the first turn checking Opal Dealer, Ginger Meggs and Bubba Jo. Scatterbox and Smokin’ Zag collided on the home turn. Ginger Meggs raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.
Ginger Meggs underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. I. Chircop requested an early race endorsement for Opal Dealer. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the On-Track Veterinarian. Opal Dealer will compete in early races until further notice.
