Specialty – Late scratching at 8:45am when Ms Karen Pitt reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jax Star and Select Charlie collided soon after the start checking Select Charlie. Trending River Hit the running rail on the first turn severely checking New Samsation. Jax Star checked off the heels Zarate in the back straight. Razor Roy raced wide in the back straight. Madalia Mick raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Trending River underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Starlight Tyson – Late scratching at 1:06pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an infection to the right hind leg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Lump Sum was slow to begin.

Mt. View Emma and Mirror Illusion collided soon after the start. Midnight Force and Mirror Illusion collided approaching the first turn checking Mirror Illusion. Mt. View Emma, Delancy Bale and Busy Time collided approaching the first turn checking Delancy Bale. Busy Time and Venus Light collided on the first turn. Midnight Force and Delancy Bale collided on the second turn checking Midnight Force. Mt. View Emma and Busy Time collided on the second turn. Busy Time and Lump Sum collided on the home turn.

Mt View Buck and Coco Lilly were slow to begin.

Teardrop, East Street, Crouching Tiger and Bonnie Too Good collided soon after the start checking Mt. View Buck, East Street and Crouching Tiger. Coco Lilly and Bonnie Too Good collided on the first turn and again approaching the third turn. High Plain raced wide in the home straight.

Taiepa, Lala Hibiscus and Waylin Bale were slow to begin.

Trojan Package checked off Another Episode soon after the start. Trojan Package and Across The Sky collided approaching the first turn checking Lala Hibiscus. Waylin Bale shifted out and crossed the heels of Aston Spinel approaching the second turn checking Trojan Package, Lala Hibiscus and Across The Sky. Taiepa faltered and lost ground entering the back straight. Another Episode Marred Shaka Big Tonks on the home turn. Aston Spinel visibly eased, turned it's head and shifted out on the home turn following Another Episode and Shaka Big Tonks and lost ground as a result. Trohan Package and Aston Spinel collided on the home turn checking Across The Sky. 

Aston Spinel underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mr Julian declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Andrew Julian, the representative of Aston Spinel regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Aston Spinel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Julian  pleaded not guilty to the charge, Aston Spinel was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Taiepa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Another Episode underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Brown, the trainer of Another Episode regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Another Episode was charged with marring. Mr Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Another Episode was found guilty and suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Brown advised stewards that consideration would be taken into retiring the greyhound.

Following this event Stewards walked the track in the vacinity near the catching pen, and entering the back straight and deemed the track satisfactory for racing.

Grey Not Blue – Late scratching at 12:44pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Adam Rademaker was fined $100.
