Steward's Report
Essential persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face-masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Ombra was quick to begin. Dennis Delight was slow to begin. Dennis Delight and Rival Wiggy collided approaching the first turn. Tat Bull and Illusion collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Tat Bull. Tat Bull and Illusion raced wide entering the home straight. Flying Mercedes clipped the heels of Ombra entering the home straight and collided with Dennis Delight. Dennis Delight galloped on the heels of Flying Mercedes in the home straight checking Dennis Delight. Ombra eased approaching the winning post.
Ombra underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Richard Gray regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Ombra was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Gray pleaded guilty to the charge, Ombra was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
