Aston Colossus was slow to begin.
Hardaway Rocket and Dynamo Dash collided approaching the first turn. Fernando Mark, Aston Colossus, Hardaway Rocket, Dynamo Dash and Palmistry collided on the first turn checking all five greyhounds. Aston Colossus, Fernando Mark, Hardaway Rocket and Palmistry collided on the home turn checking Hardaway Rocket, Palmistry and Dynamo Dash. Lady Belladonna and Kanji Length collided several times in the home straight.
Dynamo Dash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder joint injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
