Let's Trot underwent a post-race veterinary examination after a fall past the finish line. No apparent injury was reported.

She's So Sassy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Martina Kirillidis, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  After reviewing all available evidence Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied, She's So Sassy had made head and/or muzzle contact with Steamer Redeemer, however acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), She's So Sassy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Kirillidis pleaded guilty to the charge. She's So Sassy must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Moriah Bale was quick to begin.  Boston Garden and Zippy Volkswagon were slow to begin.

Jet Legger and Boston Garden collided soon after the start.  Zippy Tesla, Oseye Bale and Boston Garden collided approaching the first turn checking Zippy Tesla, Oseye Bale and Zippy Volkswagon.  Aston Merit cramped and lost ground from the third turn.  Aston Merit and Jet Legger collided in the home straight causing Aston Merit to fall and took no further part in the event. 

Aston Merit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right chest injury and cramped.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Aston Merit must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Supplementary Report - On Wednesday 29 September 2021, Trainer Mr Jason Sharp advised Stewards under GAR 75 that on the Sunday morning of 26 September, Aston Merit was found to be ill with both vomiting and diarrhoea to have occurred during the night, in the kennel. Subsequent veterinary checks and blood tests have been undertaken to identify if there may have been an underlying issue (viral) that was indiscernible on the night but which could have contributed or been responsible for the unanticipated and abnormal performance of Aston Merit.

Flying Foxy – Late scratching at 3.22pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  Mr Terrence Erenshaw informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Mr. Erenshaw produced evidence of the vechicle break down to the satisfaction of the Stewards, no stand period was imposed against Flying Foxy.
