Prize Diamond was quick to begin.
Room To Boom, Armstrong Bobby and Dr. Danika collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Just Burning and Patience Pays collided approaching the first turn checking Just Burning. Prize Diamond and Patience Pays collided on the first turn. Just Burning faltered and lost ground on the first turn. Dr. Danika checked off Armstrong Bobby on the home turn.
Just Burning underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain/wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
