A pre-race sample was taken from Dewana Classic.
Koblenz was quick to begin. Oscar The Scout was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Kalbarri and Oscar The Scout collided approaching the second turn. Aston Sunset contacted the running rail approaching the third turn. Zipping Jazz checked off Aston Sunset entering the home straight.
Aston Sunset underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
During the running of this event there was no head on vision available in the front straight and limited vision in the back straight.
