A pre-race sample was taken from Bitter Twist.
Aston Latham was slow to begin.
Tom For Shaw crossed in soon after the start and collided with Bitter Twist, Orson Ruby and Mega Heist, checking Orson Ruby. All Fear and Simoka colldied soon after the start. Aston Latham and Orson Ruby collided soon after the start. Mega Heist and Tom For Shaw collided at the 300m mark and again approaching the 250m mark. All Fear crossed to the outside at the 250m mark checking Simoka, Bitter Twist, Mega Heist, Orson Ruby and Tom For Shaw. Mega Heist and Bitter Twist collided approaching the 200m mark. Mega Heist checked off Tom For Shaw approaching the 150m mark.
