Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) Steward, Mr Jamie Allan did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Carraragarmungee began awkwardly and collided with Kraken Count.
Charlie's Jar and Nine Nine collided soon after the start. Kraken Count and Carraragarmungee collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark checking Kraken Count. Irish Hope, Nine Nine and Charlie's Jar collided approaching the 100m mark, causing Irish Hope to fall, subsequently checking Kraken Count. Circus Dancer checked off Don't Know Jake at the 100m mark. Nine Nine checked off Charlie's Jar approaching the 50m mark.
Don't Know Jake underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Irish Hope underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Terry Meyer, the trainer of Don't Know Jake regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Stewards were of the opinion that the action of Don't Know Jake at this stage of the event was a direct reaction to the fall of Irish Hope and on this occasion the greyhound was issued with a warning.
A post-race sample was taken from Charlie's Jar - the winner of the event.
There was no head on vision for this event.
