Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Victa Grosso.
Cryptic Vixen and Victa Grosso were quick to begin.
Victa Grosso failed to run past the return gate and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Tony Rasmussen regarding the behaviour of Victa Grosso in pulling up before the return gate and not entering the catching pen. The Stewards hold concerns that this poses an unnecessary safety issue for Victa Grosso, other greyhounds in the race, and staff that triage these types of incidents. After considering submissions from Tony Rasmussen, a warning was issued that further such instances of this nature may result in Victa Grosso being placed on a conditional satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 129.
