Steward's Report
Steel Hawk was quick to begin.
Why Not Jules was slow to begin.
Steel Hawk contacted the running rail approaching the first turn - underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right goin injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Spicy Tilly visibly eased and turned it's head outwards approaching the home turn and collided with Phantom Rex - underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg and a right deltoid injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Kerr regarding Spicy Tilly's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125,Spicy Tilly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Kerr pled guilty to the charge, Spicy Tilly was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
