Steward's Report
Flying Zinger – Late scratching at 11:21am by order of the Stewards. Stewards interviewed Mr. Kenneth Buxton, the Trainer of Flying Zinger in relation to the bona fides of the identification of the greyhound. Upon inspection of the greyhound, stewards couldn't be comfortably satisfied of the identity of the greyhound pursuant to GAR 78 (1)(e)(ii). Acting in accordance with GAR 78(3), no further nomination will be accepted until the stewards are satisfied that the basis upon which the scratching was made no longer exists. Mr. Buxton was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound pursuant to GAR 88.
A pre–race sample was taken from First Picked.
Gold Fever was quick to begin. Rosario Bale, Loved By You and Rumour Is were slow to begin.
Rosario Bale contacted the running rail and lost ground entering the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
