Steward's Report
Stupify was quick to begin.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Loft, trainer of Story Unfolds due to the greyhound collapsing in the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that Story Unfolds collapsed due to suffering from PEDS - post excercise distress syndrome. No stand down period was issued. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Story Unfolds is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a satisfactory trial is completed, pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42 (3) Story Unfolds is suspended from racing for 28 days, at all tracks.
