Steward's Report
Trenzalore, Chester Bee, Galloping Speed and Hometown Hero were slow to begin.
Fire Witch marred the running of Hometown Hero on the home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Cassandra Rademaker, the representative of Fire Witch regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Fire Witch was was charged with marring. Mrs Cassandra Rademaker pleaded guilty to the charge, Fire Witch was was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Galloping Speed - the winner of the event.
