Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Mrs Terry Egan failed to arrive on course by the appointed time to kennel Halo's Drive and Kantiki Lolly. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 31(2).
Lethal Vision stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.
Lethal Vision and My Amelda Rose collided soon after the start. Halo's Drive, My Amelda Rose, Madison Rose and Lethal Vision collided at the 250m mark. Kantiki Lolly and Mrs. Tropicana collided approaching the 150m mark checking Mrs. Tropicana. Halo's Drive checked off Lethal Vision at the 150m mark. Lethal Vision turned its head outward at the 150m mark. Kantiki Lolly lost ground at the 100m mark.
Kantiki Lolly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pencil injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Lethal Vision underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and the left hip. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Fisher, the owner of Lethal Vision regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1) Lethal Vision was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Fisher pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lethal Vison was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
