Steward's Report
Apollo One, Tsar Bell and Wake Up Dusty were slow to begin.
Mr David Bourke was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Wake Up Dusty pursuant to GAR 33.
Shining Gem and Ivy's Bobby collided approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Galloping Suzy turned its head outwards and visibly eased approaching the 100m mark.
Galloping Suzy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Nicole Lund, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Galloping Suzy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Lund pleaded guilty to the charge, Galloping Suzy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. Ms. Lund advised Stewards that the greyhound will now be retired.
