Steward's Report
All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting, and catching greyhounds.
Out of competition samples were taken from Elswyk Jordy and Elswyk Sky on 26/5/2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Bomber's Train - Late scratching at 14:25pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Geoffrey Green was fined $100. Bomber's Train underwent a kennelling veterinary examination - no apparent illness was reported.
Brilliant Loch was quick to begin. Oddball Armo and Oda May were slow to begin.
Elswyk Jordy checked off Zippy Customer on the first turn. Elswyk Jordy checked off Oddball Armo on the first turn. Zippy Customer crossed out on the home turn and collided with Oda May. Brilliant Loch and Elswyk Sky collided several times in the home straight. Elswyk Jordy and Elswyk Sky collided approaching the winning post.
There was no head-on vision (back straight) available for this race.
