Steward's Report
Ready To Slide - Late scratching at 10.20am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature and vomiting. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Gypsy Play and Braemar Brianna collided soon after the start. Gusson and Nuclear Strike collided soon after the start. Pocket Titanium and Janet's Wish collided approaching the 250m mark checking Pocket Titanium. Janet's Wish and Gypsy Play collided approaching the 200m mark.
Janet's Wish underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Neil Baker regarding the racing manners of Janet's Wish soon after the start. After hearing evidence from Mr Baker, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.
