Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Alabama Cruise was slow to begin.
Jilly Be Brave and Pure Mania collided at the 300m mark and again approaching the 250m mark. Spud crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark. Spud and Alabama Cruise collided approaching the 200m mark. Spud checked off Jilly Be Brave approaching the 150m mark. Don't Tell Mum lost ground from approaching the 150m mark and tailed off.
Don't Tell Mum underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Representative Ms Gayle Lemin declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Ms Gayle Lemin, the representative of Don't Tell Mum regarding its performance from approaching the 150m mark. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Don't Tell Mum must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Swarm - the winner of the event.
