Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.
Line stepper - Late scratching at 10:17am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Jason Hardy was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Farmer's Arms, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Insomnia Agogo was slow to begin.
Insomnia Agogo and On The Ritz collided soon after the start. Cool Stone and Insomnia Agogo collided approaching the 300m mark checking Cool Stone. Farmer's Arms, Cool Stone, Insomnia Agogo and On The Ritz collided at the 300m mark checking On The Ritz. Farmer's Arms and On The Ritz collided approaching the 250m mark checking Farmer's Arms and Insomnia Agogo. Cool Stone and On The Ritz collided at the 150m mark. On The Ritz and Limitless Vodka collided approaching the winning post checking Limitless Vodka and Jilly Be Brave.
Insomnia Agogo underwent a post-race veterinary examination, at the trainer's request, and was found to have a left calf muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Limitless Vodka underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Gerard O'Keeffe regarding the racing manners of Limitless Vodka approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr O'Keeffe, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
