Steward's Report
Yazid Bale was quick to begin. Reinforced, Barwidgi and Akina Ivy collided soon after the start. Reinforced visibly eased on the first turn. Reinforced and Akina Ivy collided on the home turn.
Reinforced underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the right front leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Smith the trainer of Reinforced regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1) Reinforced was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Smith pleaded not guilty to the charge, Reinforced was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
