Stewards delayed the 'All Clear' to this event to review vision of prior to the start. It was established that the green light was incorrectly activated instead of the amber light to indicate greyhounds moving into the boxes. As a result of the green light being activated the lure moved a short distance before being stopped. As the lure had stopped before the greyhounds had commenced the loading process Stewards were satisfied that no greyhounds were affected and as such declared 'All Clear'. The matter was referred to Club management. 

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) starter, Mr C. Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Argyle Bella was slow to begin.

Elanda Bale, Zipping Coby and Up The Amount collided soon after the start. Elanda Bale, Zipping Coby and Argyle Bella collided on the first turn. Elanda Bale and Argyle Bella collided on the third turn. Minter Explode checked off Zipping Coby entering the home straight. Up The Amount marred Adesanya entering the home straight.

Up The Amount underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and right triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs J. Chilcott regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Up The Amount was charged with marring. Mrs Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Up The Amount was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Coby - the winner of the event.
