Steward's Report
Psycho Billy was slow to begin.
Mr. Speaker and Yellowtail Bear collided soon after the start. Alita and Mac's A Million collided approaching the first turn. Showtime Boomer and Shall She Charm collided on the first turn checking Shall She Charm. Psycho Billy and Yellowtail Bear collided approaching the second turn checking Yellowtail Bear. Showtime Boomer and Mr. Speaker collided approaching the second turn checking Mr. Speaker. Mac's A Million checked off Yellowtail Bear on the second turn causing Mac's A Million and Psycho Billy to collide. Showtime Boomer raced wide and lost ground on the third turn.Shall She Charm and Mr. Speaker collided on the third turn. Shall She Charm and Stay Focused collided on the fourth turn. Shall She Charm checked off Showtime Boomer approaching the home turn. Psycho Bill tired from the halfway mark.
Showtime Boomer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and left back muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms Melissa Mayle regarding the racing manners of Showtime Boomer on the turn out of the home straight. After hearing evidence from Ms Mayle, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
Shall She Charm underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr David Crawford regarding the racing manners of Shall She Charm approaching the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Crawford, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
Psycho Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
