Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Star Magic, Recapture Time and Drakari collided soon after the start.  Phaenon Bale crossed in soon after the start checking Rip Off Roslyn and Star Magic.  Recapture Time and Rip Off Roslyn collided approaching the first turn.  Phaenon Bale was checked off She's So Amazing on the first turn. Recapture Time and Star Magic collided on the first turn.

Hurricane Miami – Late scratching at 3:09pm when trainer, Mrs Victoria Sultana reported the greyhound to have a leg injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Bindi Boo – Late scratching at 6.24pm due to the greyhound not being presented in the required kennelling time (GAR 31).  Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–presentation trainer, Mr David Burnett was fined $250.

Southern Bell and Gout Ralph were slow to begin.  Fawn Missile and Betty's Dream collided approaching the first turn.  Southern Bell and Gout Ralph collided on the first turn.  Betty's Dream and Heidi's Gift collided in the home straight.

Galloping Albi and Rag Time Griff collided soon after the start.  Bella Porscha and She's Our Rocket crossed in on the first turn checking Polly Pocket and severely checking Galloping Albi and Gav's The Boss; Galloping Albi lost considerable ground.  She's Our Rocket and Bella Porscha collided on the home turn.  Polly Pocket and Riccarton Weaver collided on the home turn.

Galloping Albi underwent a post race veterinary examination -no apparent injury was reported.

Secrets Untold and Poppo's Grinning collided soon after the start.  Natural Ivy was checked off Secret's Untold approaching the first turn.  Natural Ivy contacted the running rail on the first turn. Swift By Design and Unbeknownst collided on the first turn checking Unbeknownst.

Wears Woodleigh galloped on It's Not Fun approaching the first turn severely checking both greyhounds; It's Not Fun fell as a result.  Jar Man and Cyclone Zara collided on the first turn. Tyson's Town and Jar Man collided on the first turn.  

It's Not Fun underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Financial Tarra and Lump Sum were slow to begin.  Financial Tarra was checked off Aston Kipchoge on the first turn.  Financial Tarra and Lump Sum collided on the second turn checking Financial Tarra. Financial Tarra clipped the heels of Lump Sum approaching the winning post.

Financial Tarra underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. L. Fulford regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Fulford, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn.

Kismet Storm and Ezra Bale collided soon after the start.  Nicholas Rose galloped on William Rose approaching the first turn.  Slick Paws and William Rose collided on the first turn checking Slick Paws, William Rose and Nicholas Rose.  Zambora Lou tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Zambora Lou underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Sheer Bliss and Dundee Jester collided approaching the first turn.  Sheer Bliss faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Busy Bella and Flywheel Bella collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Mclinden and Dinkydi  Asset collided approaching the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Sheer Bliss underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Flywheel Bella underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Samuel Bye after the greyhound performed below market expectation. Mr Bye stated that he had expected the greyhound to run well, however he felt that the rubber band endorsement on the toes may have affected her performance tonight and further stated that he will be removing this endorsement for all future starts. Stewards noted the explanation.

Soda Diamond - Late scratching at 6.20pm under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas.  Stewards require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.

Curfew was quick to begin.  Hurricane Red and Spring Hummer collided approaching the first turn.  Paula Of Oscar and Dashing Dante collided on the first turn. Paula Of Oscar and Curfew collided on the home turn.

Emma Banjo and Flashy De Goey collided approaching the first turn.  Emma Banjo, True Alpha and Tyson's Tiger collided approaching the first turn checking True Alpha.  Flashy De Goey and True Alpha collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Rambo - the winner of the event. 

Ironclad was quick to begin.  Victa Libby and Leo Rose were slow to begin.  Dimensional and Cruisy's Special collided on the first turn.  Cruisy's Special was checked off Dimensional approaching the home turn.  Dimensional raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Victa Libby and Cruisy's Special collided approaching the winning post.
