Lightning Fury and Tech Stock were slow to begin.
Lightning Fury and Fernandes collided soon after the start. Spot On Cinta and Shifting Sands collided approaching the first turn checking Spot On Cinta. Picogram and Tech Stock collided on the first turn. Lightning Fury and Shifting Sands collided on the first turn checking Lightning Fury, severely checking Spot On Cinta and Shifting Sands. Yelredda Saint and Fernandes collided entering the back straight checking Fernandes. Lightning Fury and Fernandes collided in the home straight checking Lightning Fury.
Shifting Sands underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
