Chirnside Sparky, Cool Limit and Aces And Eights were slow to begin. Mahogany Queen and Chirnside Sparky collided approaching the first turn checking Mahogany Queen. Chirnside Sparky and Cool Limit collided on the first turn checking Cool Limit.
Cool Limit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have minor marks on the right for toes. No stand down period was imposed.
