Shallow was slow to begin.
Kuta Cowboy and Shallow collided approaching the first turn. Kuta Cowboy and Minter Explode collided on the first turn checking Kuta Cowboy. Bomber's Smokey and Ivy Isobel collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Honey Double One, Ivy Isobel and Campanita collided approaching the home turn checking Honey Double One. Bomber's Smokey and Ivy Isobel collided on the home turn checking Bomber's Smokey. Bomber's Smokey and Minter Explode collided entering the home straight. Kuta Cowboy crossed in in the home straight and collided with Minter Explode several times approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Ms Kellie Leviston, the representative for Kuta Cowboy regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. After viewing all available race footage and acting on live observations, no further action was taken.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Campanita - the winner of the event.
