Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Trainer Mr M. Briganti was questioned regarding the scratching of Rockstar Ruby from this event. Mr Briganti stated that Rockstar Ruby was galloped on Monday and sustained a toe injury which he was not prepared to risk today, subsequently Rockstar Ruby was scratched. Mr Briganti provided photographic evidence of the injury and subsequent treatment of the injury during the inquiry. Stewards also reviewed the nomination and scratching times, and reasons, of all greyhounds in the event. Betting transactions for the event will also be evaluated. After considering Mr Briganti's submissions and evaluating all the information currently before the panel no action was taken. 

Indigo Indy was slow to begin. Pilbara and Yellowtail Bear collided on the first turn. Indigo Indy and Pilbara collided on the second turn and again approaching the third turn. Yellowtail Bear checked off Indigo Indy in the home straight. Indigo Indy and Yellowtail Bear collided several times approaching the winning post.

Redzin and Bird House Brown were slow to begin. Tyler Durden, Jamo and Waldorf collided soon after the start checking Jamo and Waldorf. Miss Ali and Bird House Brown collided soon after the start checking Bird House Brown. Redzin and Jenny Kay Rose collided soon after the start. Redzin and Jamo collided approaching the first turn. Redzin, Jamo and Jenny Kay Rose collided entering the bac straight checking Jamo. Redzin and Jenny Kay Rose collided approaching the third turn checking both greyhounds. Redzin and Jamo collided on the home turn. Jamo marred Redzin in the home straight checking both greyhounds. 

Jamo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Brendan Pursell regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Jamo was charged with marring. Mr Pursell pleaded guilty to the charge, Jamo is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Suited Kings, Majestic Way and Mac's Mayhem were slow to begin. Remember Jimmy, Ancho Poblano and Thirty Red collided soon after the start checking Remember Jimmy. Remember Jimmy checked off Through The Dark on the first turn checking Ancho Poblano and Seven Enemies. Majestic Way checked off Through The Dark approaching the second turn. Mac's Mayhem and Ancho Poblano collided approaching the second turn. Suited Kings and Majestic Way collided on the second turn. Majestic Way and Mac's Mayhem collided on the third turn checking Majestic Way. Ancho Poblano and Thirty Red collided approaching the winning post.

Whodat Opal was quick to begin and crossed to the rails soon after the start checking I'm Easy Boys, Better Watch Out and Playlist. I'm Easy Boys, Better Watch Out and Playlist collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking I'm Easy Boys. Immersion and Tough Tears collided entering the back straight. I'm Easy Boys and Playlist collided in the home straight.

Indian Shadow was slow to begin. Stretch Butler crossed to the rails soon after the start checking There's A Catch, Mr. Mufasa and Mullion Mayor. Mr. Mufasa, Kingfisher Rose and Indian Shadow collided on the first turn checking Mr. Mufasa and Kingfisher Rose. There's A Catch and Helen's Teddy collided approaching the second turn. Mullion Mayor checked off Kingfisher Rose on the third turn. Stretch Butler, There's A Catch and Kingfisher Rose collided approaching the home turn checking There's A Catch, Stretch Butler and Mr. Mufasa. There's A Catch and Kingfisher Rose collided in the home straight. 

Trainer Mr Robert Britton formally applied to Stewards to withdraw Tornado Tears after he mistakenly nominated the greyhound for this race. Tornado Tears was/is scheduled to run in a Stewards Trial in Sydney – NSW today, in the lead-up to the upcoming Sydney Cup. In accepting the application to withdraw Tornado Tears under GAR 20 (4) (b), the Stewards issued a charge to Mr Britton under GAR 86 (o) for mistakenly nominating Tornado Tears for this race, a thing which was considered by the Stewards to be negligent. Mr Britton pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $250.

Euro Bro was slow to begin. Yeah Easy and Lethal Image collided soon after the start. Lethal Image checked off Sixties Rocker on the first turn checking Pure Quality and Sweet As Emm. Driftin' Away and Lethal Image collided entering the front straight checking Driftin' Away. Yeah Easy and Sixties Rocker collided entering the front straight. Lethal Image and Sixties Rocker collided approaching the second turn checking Sixties Rocker and Sweet As Emm. Pure Quality, Bounce Back and Sixties Rocker collided approaching the second turn checking Bounce Back and Sweet As Emm and severely checking Euro Bro and Sixties Rocker which stumbled. Pure Quality checked off Driftin' Away approaching the third turn. Lethal Image checked off Yeah Easy approaching the third turn. Bounce Back lost ground in the back straight. Sweet As Emm and Lethal Image collided on the fourth turn. 

Bounce Back underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Sixties Rocker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left groin, an abrasion on the left thigh and a spike wound on the left hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Run Like Jess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Palmer pleaded guilty to the charge, Run Like Jess must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
