Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Alabama Shakes was slow to begin.  Drakari, Making Magic and Dr. Topaz collided soon after the start checking Making Magic.  Mayhem Lass crossed in approaching the first turn checking Somerton Ned, Drakari and Dr. Topaz.  Somerton Ned, Making Magic and Dr. Topaz collided on the first turn severely checking Somerton Ned and Making Magic.  Mayhem Lass and Lenny Fox collided on the first turn severely checking Lenny Fox.

Alabama Shakes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated right hind toe.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Francisco was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Klopp and Dr. Sadie collided soon after the start checking Dr. Sadie.  Hubcap Thief checked off Gerry's Lara approaching the first turn.  Coalville Chief and Gerry's Lara collided on the first turn checking Coalville Chief severely checking Gerry's Lara, Hubcap Thief, Klopp and Dr. Sadie.

Gerry's Lara underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Chase The Magic, Luxury Rocks and Prize Diamond collided soon after the start checking Luxury Rocks.  Diamond Lady and Kobe collided approaching the first turn checking Kobe, Pesky Miss and Chase The Magic.  Kobe and Odd Gem collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, checking Chase The Magic and Prize Diamond.  Diamond Lady checked off Nifty Nelly on the first turn.  Kobe and Pesky Miss collided approaching the home turn checking Pesky Miss.  Chase The Magic and Luxury Rocks collided on the home turn.  Chase The Magic checked off Luxury Rocks entering the home straight.  Kobe checked off Odd Gem in the home straight.

Hazardous Rumour and Kraken Thunder collided soon after the start checking Kraken Thunder.  Scorching Sun and Tysons Town collided on the first turn checking Tysons Town.  Clan McMillan and Hazardous Rumour collided approaching the home turn.  Big Coin Buddy and Kraken Thunder raced wide in the home straight.  Scorching Sun turned its head out approaching the winning post.

Big Coin Buddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Tysons Town underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen and was found to have a left hind triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Scorching Sun underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8.  Scorching Sun was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mr. G. Joske regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Scorching Sun was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Joske pleaded guilty to the charge, Scorching Sun was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(B)(1)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Harper's Girl, Nella Ruslie and Erupting Avatar collided approaching the first turn checking Nella Ruslie and Erupting Avatar.  Nella Ruslie, Erupting Avatar and Spolly Bear collided on the first turn checking Erupting Avatar.  Emma Banjo and All Class Fairy collided on the first turn.  Harper's Girl, Emma Banjo and All Class Fairy collided approaching the home turn checking All Class Fairy.  Miss Demonica and Hook Along Book collided on the home turn.  Emma Banjo checked off Spolly Bear in the home straight.

Aston Frigate and Bulk Billed were quick to begin.  Aston Frigate, Stormcast, Foxzami Raptor and Bulk Billed collided approaching the first turn checking all 4 greyhounds; Bulk Billed lost ground as a result.  Sunshine Spolly checked off Aston Frigate on the first turn checking Stormcast and Foxzami Raptor.  Sunshine Spolly and Stormcast collided approaching the home turn.  Foxzami Raptor checked off Take A Rose on the home turn.

King Brown Trav checked off Oakvale Cruiser soon after the start.  Skittle crossed in approaching the first turn severely checking Oakvale Cruiser and Dyna Xervo and checking Soda King.  Soda King and What Price Bucks collided approaching the home turn.  Dyna Aakil turned its head out and visibly eased in the home straight checking Skittle: Skittle and Dyna Aakil raced wide as a result.

Dyna Aakil underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Mr.Giddings declined the option of having the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Mark Giddings, the trainer of Dyna Aakil regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Dyna Aakil was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Giddings pleaded guilty to the charge.  Dyna Aakil was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(A)(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
