Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Roller Derby was quick to begin. Dewana Smokey and Ballistic were slow to begin.

Ballistic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right shin soreness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr T. Boehmke regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Ballistic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Ballistic was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dewana Magoo and Head Bouncer were slow to begin.

Juliette Keats checked off Rumour Is Fact at the 150m mark.

Solar Energy – New declared weight of 35.7kg, last raced at 34.2kg.

Solar Energy went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin - 3 lengths. Smoking Syd was slow to begin.

Solar Energy crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Ship Of Fools and Retro Reece collided at the 150m mark. Retro Reece checked off Benefit Summary approaching the 100m mark checking Benefit Summary and Ship Of Fools.

Boes Reward, Sweet Harriet and Lady Gotham collided soon after the start. Sweet Harriet checked off Lady Gotham at the 250m mark. Boes Reward and Lady Gotham collided at the 150m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Preconceived.

Preconceived and Superior Wallis were slow to begin.

Break The Chains and Boes Bandit collided soon after the start. Warm Beer and Beautiful Freak collided at the 300m mark. Beautiful Freak and Superior Wallis collided at the 150 mark. Piper's Unicorn checked off Boes Bandit approaching the winning post.

Zipping Sheila – New declared weight of 31.4kg, last raced at 30.1kg.

Steve's Uggboot and Electric Mick collided soon after the start. Zipping Sheila and Saharrah Blitz collided soon after the start. Billy's Missile and Mt. View Rocks collided approaching the 200m mark severely checking Billy's Missile, Mt. View Rocks and Electric Mick, Billy's Missile and Mt. View Rocks fell as a result.

Mt. View Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left deltoid muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards contacted Mr Robert Plunkett (via e-mail), the Trainer of Billy's Missile after he left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event.  Stewards issued Mr Plunkett with a warning pursuant to GAR 42(2) and ordered Mr Plunkett to produce a veterinary certificate for Billy's Missile prior to any further nominations being accepted, GAR 20(3)(v).

Supplementary Report 29/10/20:

Billy's Missile was presented to the Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club meeting on Thursday 29 October 2020 for a veterinary examination. Billy's Missile was found to have a pelvic injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Wild Brutality – New declared weight of 33.8kg, last raced at 31.9kg.

Wild Brutality stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.

Burnish and Superior Breeze collided soon after the start. Blur, Burnish and Superior Breeze collided at the 300m mark. Amanda Lee, Kraken Jess and Magic Bulldozer collided soon after the start. Amanda Lee crossed in approaching the 250m mark checking Magic Bulldozer. Mr. Daver, Magic Bulldozer and Kraken Jess collided approaching the 200m mark. Clark Road checked off Amanda Lee approaching the 100m mark.

Clark Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Superior Digby was slow to begin.

Diamond Socks and Superior Digby collided at the 150m mark. Diamond Socks checked off Superior Digby at the 100m mark.

Tex Kingdom – Late scratching at 7:10pm when Steven Hetherton reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Monaco Lights was slow to begin.

Curnow Keats and Cruising By collided at the 150m mark. Our Harriet and Cruising By collided approaching the winning post.
