Steward's Report
Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

This event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to operational matters.
Roller Derby was quick to begin. Dewana Smokey and Ballistic were slow to begin.
Roller Derby and Collaboration collided soon after the start. Dewana Smokey and Roller Derby collided soon after the start. Ballistic visibly eased at the 200m mark and subsequently tailed off. Dewana Smokey and Roller Derby collided at the 150m mark.
Ballistic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right shin soreness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr T. Boehmke regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Ballistic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Ballistic was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
