Steward's Report
Nine To Seven and Potent were slow to begin. Toby Time and Potent collided soon after the start. Carry On Star and Mega Dossa collided soon after the start. Eastside and Toby Time collided approaching the first turn. Nine To Seven checked off Burst The Seam approaching the first turn. Burst The Seam, Carry On Star, Mega Dossa, Toby Time and Potent collided on the first turn, severely checking Mega Dossa, Toby Time and Potent. Nine To Seven and Carry On Star collided on the first turn. Burst The Seam and Eastside collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight. Toby Time checked off Nine To Seven on the third turn. Potent marred Mega Dossa from entering the home straight to the winning post, severely checking Mega Dossa.
Potent was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr J. Talgi, Representative of Potent regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Potent was charged with marring. Mr Talgi pleaded guilty to the charge, Potent is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
