Steward's Report
Run To You, Metro Boomin' and Rebel May Road collided soon after the start. Empire Lad turned its head outwards and visibly eased approaching the second turn checking Magic Voyage and Hyena Queen. Run To You and Heeza Nippa collided on the second turn checking Heeza Nippa. Empire Lad clipped the heels of Magic Voyage on the third turn checking Magic Voyage. Empire Lad and Magic Voyage collided approaching the home turn.
Empire Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr S. Jack, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Empire Lad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jack pleaded guilty to the charge, Empire Lad must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
