Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will re-vert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Rasputia was quick to begin. Lily Rose Jazz was slow to begin. Laced With Nitro and Sonic Rainboom collided on the first turn. Laced With Nitro faltered approaching the home turn which collided with Sonic Rainboom severely checking both greyhounds.

Laced With Nitro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury, a left pencil injury and left chest injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr K Ashton, the trainer of Laced With Nitro and acting under GAR 75 (1) Stewards ordered Mr Ashton to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Laced With Nitro in the event which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Sonic Rainboom underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest injury, left back muscle injury and a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sparkle Pony was quick to begin. Saint Bogan and Brindle Fire were slow to begin. Paul's Winner and Zipping Gypsy collided on the first turn checking Zipping Gypsy.
